Clinical Director/Coordinator

Job Description:

SUMMARY
The Clinical Director/Coordinator position is responsible providing strong leadership to ensure the provision of high-quality among staff and across departments and programs, administration, policy-making and public planning. Clinical Director/Coordinator will focus on maintaining long-term housing stability for clients. The person in this position will ensure staff are operating a safe and secure system of housing that is outcome and performance driven. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure seamless continuity of care and housing services between company resources and partners agencies
  2. Supervise the day-to-day activities of assigned staff, and clients
  3. Ensure that services to clients are reflective of company’s model, which emphasizes customer choice, harm reduction, and psycho-social rehabilitation
  4. Provide clinical guidance to staff as needed, including in emergencies and crisis situations
  5. Be available to respond to emergency calls and situations as needed
  6. Assist in the screening, assessment, and enrollment of clients, including orientation to program policies, assignment to case management staff, and determining eligibility
  7. Ensure all clients paperwork and data collection is complete, timely, accurate, and current in agency records and electronic databases through on-going audits of electronic data bases and chart reviews
  8. Ensure housing performance standards of partners and funders are achieved, including a minimum of 80% housing retention rate
  9. Provide individual and team supervision, support, and performance evaluations for assigned staff
  10. Ensure that direct reports provide an ongoing schedule of groups, activities, and outings designed to stabilize and improve quality of life for clients
  11. In coordination with the Senior Director of Residential Services, provide budgetary oversight of program administration and ensure program revenue and expenses are within the adopted annual budget
  12. Ensure adherence to funding source contracts and performance standards; prepare written reports on program activities as assigned and as required by funding sources
  13. Ensure program and staff follow all Policies and Procedures as outlined in grants
  14. Provide input, evaluation, and updates regarding programs as requested
  15. As needed, assist in involving clients in daily activities, budgeting, facilitating socialization, health maintenance, sense of community, and progress in recovery
  16. Regularly provide clinical training to clinical services staff and interns
  17. Recruitment of clinical interns, conduct outreach and maintain working relationships with graduate schools.
  18. Ability to work in and adapt the culture of a multi-cultural, community based organization
  19. Good inter-personal skills, ability to relate well with persons from a variety socioeconomic and cultural groups
  20. Must possess exceptional leadership skills, dynamic communications skills using effective tools and techniques and engaging public speaking skills.

Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Master of Social Work required
  2. Minimum of 2 years’ full-time experience working with the homeless, preferably those living with mental illness and/or substance addictions
  3. Able to provide direct supervision and management of assigned staff
  4. Must be eligible to supervise MSW/MFT interns and trainees in accordance to rules and regulations under the Board of Behaviors Sciences.
  5. Current, valid California Driver’s with an acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle
  6. Able to transport  clients in your vehicle
  7. Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
  8. Able to work in a high tolerance Harm Reduction model with clients who have multiple barriers
  9. Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervision
  10. Strong interpersonal and team building skills
  11. Self-starter with the ability to stay ahead of the curve and thrive in fast-paced work environment
  12. Able to obtain and maintain CPR/1st Aid certification
  13. Able to be on-call 24/7

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  1. Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience
  2. Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation and knowledge of trauma-informed care
  3. Experience in evidence based programs such as: Motivational interviewing, Hard Reduction, Seeking Safety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma focused cognitive processing therapy
  4. Experience with HMIS data entry and quality assurance reports preferred
  5. Knowledge and experience in chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment
